I thought that because I had hiked mountains in Europe, I was ready for the Andes, after all, hiking is hiking, right?
But once I got here, I quickly realized these mountains demand much more than just experience on the trail. There were so many factors I hadn’t even considered and then there was the altitude, the terrain and the unpredictable weather. At first, I reached out to Gustavo and Felipe just for some friendly advice, but the more I learned, the more I understood that this was a trek I didn’t want to take chances on.
Trusting them with my trip was the best decision I could’ve made, and I wouldn’t do it any other way.
