This tour is physically demanding, requiring prior preparation that mainly involves cardio exercises such as hiking, running, cycling, gym workouts, among others, as walking days can extend from 6 to 12 hours per day, depending on the itinerary. It is important to note that, despite the physical and mental demands, this adventure is not exclusively reserved for professional mountaineers or high-performance athletes. In fact, prior knowledge of mountaineering, climbing, or glaciers is not required. However, it is crucial to emphasize that greater physical preparation will significantly enhance the experience.

The terrains we will traverse present additional challenges, with marshy stretches and changing weather conditions. Overcoming these obstacles relies on being mentally and physically prepared and having the right equipment. Another important factor is acclimatization to altitude, especially for those coming from sea-level locations. It is recommended to spend at least two days acclimating in Salento (2,000 meters above sea level) or cities with similar altitudes.
